Four Roses

Early 1900's ad for Four Roses Distillery courtesy of Jody Smith.

Four Roses mystery is somewhat solved by Norman Robinson. They reportedly had TWO distillery locations - Stillhouse Creek and a lessor known smaller distillery/warehouse near Gilmore Station just South of Vinings (between the fire station and the disk systems in the curve on Cumberland Parkway). His uncle Virgil was a "gage engineer attending both, "He used to carry his lunch to work in a bucket, and come home at night with a bucket of whiskey." (N. Robinson) A lot of bricks of both locations were used to "brick" Robinson's Tropical Garden on the river.

When the Kudzu dies, hope to get in there and see if exact location at Gilmore still is partially there...
